Red Sun

Here is a fast little project I did last winter in order to give some self-made chrismas gifts.
The artwork is an assembly of sketches  and vector patterns I made earlier in 2013. I then screeprinted those in order to get the result you see now. It was a fun little project, lots of mistakes since it was a very fast thing (two days in total) but it was nice to get back to the screenprinting table (it’s been a while!)

Upcoming Show! East to West

If you are around Montreal next week, I’ll be at the event “East to West” of the screenprinting studio “La Bourgeoise Sérigraphe”.

I will be selling a limited edition screenprint that I’m not gonna show before the event, but all the remaining copies will be available on this site after.

A selected group of artists from all around North America will be presenting and selling some of their homemade screenprints!
If you don’t own a screenprint yet, then it’s the perfect time!

I’ll be showing one of my projects alongside the some of Canadian’s big names:
Sophie Casson, Marie-Eve Gauthier, Véronique Meignaud, Vilx Mu, Johnnycrap, Beans & Bacon, just to name a few.
There will be also “gigposters” screenprints made from american “Flatstocks” by Gary Houston, Billy Perkins, Nate Duval, Gregg Gordon, Bobby Dixon, Jared Connor, Farley Bookout and more!
Even bigger names!

It’s going to be awesome. SERIOUSLY.

Andy McDougall, the master screenprinter behind squeegeeville, will be present at the event and will also be giving an advanced class following the exhibition. Actually…the class is full already…but the exhibition isn’t!!!

a small world

Today, I happened to be screenprinting on the same screen as the very talented illustrator Sophie Casson, which is also a family friend. I didn’t know she was going to the same screenprinting studio. She’ll even be in the same exhibition in two weeks…

Small world mm?

The studio is “La Bourgeoise Sérigraphe”, it’s where I learned to do screenprinting and where I keep going to do stuff. You can have more info here.
